Away Tickets & Priority Points

Getting tickets for away matches is not a closed shop, but it is getting much more difficult - especially with no European matches this season.

If you only started getting priority points from the 2021/22 season you would be starting this season (2024/25) on 31 points - only 4 off the maximum anyone would have. But you would have had to have gone to all the Eurorean away matches to get to that level. If you only attended domestic away matches and all the home cup games (including Europe) you would only be on 11 points starting this season.

Away Priority Points

The number of points shown above that you could be collecting does not include any that you might get in the ballot (see below). Had you been lucky in just one of the ballots and bought tickets whenever you had enough points - you would had enough to have gone to Spurs away last season.

The club are allocated 3,000 tickets or 10% of the stadium capacity if lower, for away league matches.  For League Cup matches the away allocation is 10% of stadium capacity and for FA Cup matches the away allocation is 15% of stadium capacity.  For UEFA Cup competitions, the away allocation is 5% of the stadium capacity.   These allocations may be adjusted up or down to take into account segregation arrangements.

The away tickets are sold initially to Bondholders followed by Away Season Ticket holders. Tickets then go on sale to Season Ticket holders using the Priority Points system, in descending order. Purchase windows for all these groups are announced on the Club website in advance of the actual sale dates.

The number of Priority Points required for the first sales phase will vary from match to match and is dependent on the ticket allocation received from the host club. The Club reviews the number of Priority Points a Season Ticket holder would require to ensure a successful application, subject to the Season Ticket holder applying for a ticket during the advertised sales phase. This figure will be used to start the Priority Points booking period.

To allow more supporters to follow the Club away, for games where the Club receives a full allocation of 3,000 tickets, 90% of tickets will be available exclusively to Bondholders and supporters with Priority Points, in descending order of points accumulated, before the final 10% are made available in a ballot to Season Ticket Holders who have not yet purchased tickets for that fixture.

When 90% of tickets have been sold for a fixture, the game will go off sale, with a ballot opening the following day for those Season Ticket Holders who have not yet purchased.  Supporters will be able to enter the ballot on the ticketing website where details of payment will be taken which will only be taken should you be successful in the ballot.

The ballot will be open for at least 24 hours, and supporters can enter the ballot in groups. People in the group will either all be successful or all not successful. After the ballot has closed, emails will only be sent to those who are successful and payment will be taken at that point. You will not hear anything if you are unsuccessful in the ballot.

For games where we receive less than 3,000 tickets, the ballot will be applied on a scaled basis. There may be some matches where due to a low allocation, the ballot will not operate.

Should 90% of tickets not be taken up by Season Ticket holders, then Claret members will be able to purchase one ticket per membership account, subject to availability. This would be on a first-come-first-served basis and not via the priority point method.

The above process is reviewed at the end of each season.

Priority Points

The Priority Points system is used to determine the order of sale for Season Ticket holders, when applying for tickets to away matches,

Season Ticket holders will accrue a Priority Point for purchashing tickets for:

  • Away Premier League matches

  • Home and away first team cup matches (FA Cup, League Cup, UEFA cup)

  • Home Cup scheme members will receive an additional point for domestic home cup matches.

One Priority Point will be allocated to the client reference number assigned to the ticket purchase. If you purchase more than one ticket using your client reference number, a maximum of one Priority Point will be allocated to your account per match. Please note, Priority Points are non-transferable.

All Priority Points are valid for the previous and the current season combined, so for the current 24/25 Season, supporters will have the points from the 23/24 season remain on their accounts and any points accumulated prior to this will be wiped off.  This did not apply for the 2021/22 season when due to Covid, points accrued from 2018 were carried forward.

You will find your priority points total by logging into the E-ticketing website where your ‘loyalty points’ are displayed in the top right-hand corner.

If you are ordering more than one ticket to sit together at the game you can only apply when the member of the group with the lowest number of priority points has qualified.

Home Cup Scheme

From the 2024/25 Season, all Season Ticket Holders will be enrolled onto the Home Cup Scheme.

This will then provide an opportunity to secure Cup tickets during a specific window, whereupon two loyalty points will be added provided bookings are made within the stated dates for each fixture. This replaces the previous scheme, where payments would be taken automatically.
