Matchday
Here’s some things you might want to know about that are not covered in the Club’s Matchday Guide.
We have previously sat down with some members of Newham’s Safety Advisory Group to discuss the reasons for the Stop / Go boards, their implementation and what could be done to improve supporters’ frustrations in the walk back to the Stratford stations.
Getting tickets for away matches is not a closed shop, but it is getting much more difficult - especially with no European matches this season.
If you only started getting priority points from the 2021/22 season you would be starting this season (2024/25) on 31 points - only 4 off the maximum anyone would have. But you would have had to have gone to all the Eurorean away matches to get to that level. If you only attended domestic away matches and all the home cup games (including Europe) you would only be on 11 points starting this season.
Don’t want to pay the extortionate prices charged at the London Stadium.
Here's more than 30 places to eat and drink on matchdays, all within a few minutes walk of Hackney Wick station.
Looking for somewhere to drop off passengers or pick them up after the match, including taxis and private hire vehicles.
Here’s an unofficlal location that is 50 metres from Bridge 2 security and outside of the road closures on matchdays.
There have been some instances where there has been inappropriate searching of supporters both male and female by stewards at the London Stadium and other stadia.
WHUST will continue to closely monitor how we are searched over this season. If you attend any game where you feel the search is inappropriate or over-zealous, then let us know. This could be at the London Stadium, any stadium in the UK and in Europe.
Also any other incidents involving stewards that you feel should be brought to attention - including if you feel that there’s something that a steward has done very well.
We are a small group of West Ham fans and friends collecting at home first team games from 3 hours before kick off. Our donation point is on Stratford Walk, opposite the Park Information Centre, on the route from Westfield to the Stadium.
WHUST wants to hear from you about your match day experience, both home and away. We want to know about any concerns, questions, issues or positives you might have from following our football club the length and breadth of the country.
WHUST aims to use what you tell us to make representations to those in positions of accountability and authority to bring about positive resolutions and changes that benefit all.
Like many clubs the Irons have moved to NFC technology for ticketing.
This note provides a little background on this technology and offers a few insights about how it works with Apple or Android smartphones.
