Without the support of our members, we couldn't continue to fund the work we do on behalf of supporters.
The Trust is entirely self-funded through membership fees and donation. The membership fee will go towards the cost of running the Trust. The Trust is ‘not for profit’ and Board Members are entirely voluntary.
Effective representation of supporters as well as communication and consultation with the supporter base requires a range of media which themselves entail running costs. We have a website, newsletters, survey forums, social media content and we also arrange meetings/events.
Individual Member
£5.00 Every year
The basic membership is where registrant becomes a shareholder in the Trust, receives all Trust news and updates and is entitled to vote to help direct the work of the Trust.
From the initial payment of £5:
- £1 is allocated to purchasing a share in the Community Benefit Society - this is a legal requirement in order to be a shareholding member, allowing you to stand in elections of the board and vote at all Trust meetings;
- The remainder of £4 will be used to finance the activities of the Trust in the community.
You must maintain your annual membership to retain your share in the Trust.
Affiliate Member
£25.00 every year
The Affiliate member is where a group becomes a shareholder in the Trust, receives all Trust news and updates, and is entitled to vote as a group. This category is for West Ham United official and unofficial supporters groups in the UK and Overseas, supporters running websites, podcasts, and fanzines.
You will need to renew your annual membership to retain your share in the Trust.
Individuals who belong to these groups are also entitled and encouraged to join as an individual member.

Membership Terms and Conditions
· Voting is only available to individuals who are aged 16 and over. We will request your confirmation that you are over 16 to ensure that we are processing voting memberships correctly.
· Each member will receive one share only of £1 and will be entitled to one vote per resolution raised at any general meeting. The share issued to the member is not transferable to any other person, firm or corporate body.
· Any contribution received by the Trust from a member will be held in common for the benefit of all members and will be used to meet the objectives of the Trust. Contributions made (whether in the form of the annual subscription or donations of money) are not a financial investment, and cannot be refunded to the member once the transfer has been made.
· As a non-profit making organisation, no financial return, whether in the form of interest or a distribution of profits, will be made to its members.
· On winding up or dissolution of the Trust, any surpluses will be transferred to a sporting charity or charities within the Area and/or one of more societies established for the benefit of the community.
· The data contained in the application form to become a member will be held, analysed and used by the Trust Board and Executive Board solely for the purposes of the West Ham United Supporters’ Trust.
· This data will be transferred to electronic media such as an online membership database and your email address may be added to online email marketing tools to enable us to send you communications efficiently. As defined in the Rules of the Trust, prescribed data on members will be publicly available at the Trust’s registered office
