FSA Premier League Network Meeting - 20th September

WHUISA participated in this online meeting hosted by the FSA along with representatives from the other Premier League supporters' organisations.  This was a follow-up to the previous week's briefing with the Premier League that we attended to discuss the return of fans.

This meeting was in preparation for the Supporter Engagement meeting with the Premier League taking place next week. Much of the discussions were about eTicketing and we submitted the concerns that our members had told us about including those from other West Ham supporters groups raised through the ISC. One particular issue was whether the introduction of digital tickets is being mandated by the Premier League or not.

Broadcasting issues raised for the forthcoming meeting including regarding provision for any future lockdown, missing the deadline for releasing TV dates, the short 5½ weeks run-in to fixture changes, the environmental impact of fixture changes for TV and the value of fans to the TV product. 

We will also be participating in the Supporter Engagement meeting with the Premier League this week where the following issues will be discussed:

·       Fan-led review 
·       Covid and the return of fans 
·       Digital tickets
·       Broadcast / KO times 
·       Cryptocurrency
·       VAR
·       Standing
